A young New Zealander’s message about protecting our food future.

No Harm To Food recently interviewed young horticulturalist Kelle Dawson about GMOs, our food system, and the future of New Zealand’s clean, green reputation.

Kelle says we need to listen to farmers, researchers, and those who understand the long-term impacts, rather than rushing into changes that would put our food reputation and environment at risk.

As Kelle said:

“Listen to the farmers, listen to the people that have done the research and know what they are talking about, protect clean food and the environment, instead of chasing a quick profit. You’re supposed to work for the benefit of the people, not for the benefit of yourself.”

“I don’t see why it would benefit us.”

“Think long and hard about what you are doing to the reputation of NZ.”

Young New Zealanders deserve a say in the future of our food, our environment, and the choices that will shape generations to come.

Vanessa’s Interview: Protecting NZ’s Food Future

“I don’t want my children starting off their lives on the back foot. They deserve the same opportunities and choices we had growing up as children.”

Vanessa, a New Zealand supermodel and passionate advocate for protecting our food future, shares why she knows New Zealand should remain GE-free, highlighting concerns about protecting our clean, green reputation, organic agriculture, and future generations.

As a parent with a passion for health, Vanessa says she wants children to inherit the same choices and opportunities previous generations had.

She understands we need to consider the long-term impacts of genetic engineering on our food system, environment, and communities.

Vanessa’s message is that New Zealanders should learn more about GE and be informed about the future of our food.
